Staying active can help relieve osteoarthritis (OA) symptoms. But if your dog has OA, activity can be difficult. DERAMAXX (deracoxib), the foundation of a comprehensive treatment plan, relieves the pain associated with OA in dogs, making it possible to stay more active.

DERAMAXX (deracoxib) can help control the pain and inflammation associated with OA so your dog can enjoy playing again. DERAMAXX (deracoxib) is the OA solution that:

  • Provides 24-hour control of your dog’s pain and inflammation due to canine osteoarthritis.
  • Is flavored - dogs readily eat the beefy-flavored chewable tablets.
  • Is a good value, making daily pain management affordable.
  • Is a once-a-day medication that’s easy and convenient to administer.

DERAMAXX (deracoxib) Chewable Tablets are indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs.

Dosage and Administration (osteoarthritis pain and inflammation): 1 to 2 mg/kg/day (0.45 - 0.91 mg/lb/day) as a single daily dose, as needed. Dogs needing a dose of less than 12.5mg can only be accurately dosed through use of the 12mg tablet, which can be broken in half to provide 6mg. Do not attempt to accurately dose smaller dogs through the ues of breaking larger tablets. Inaccurate dosing may result in adverse drug events (see Adverse Reactions, Animal Safety, and Post-Approval Experience on product insert.)

Your veterinarian may suggest other things to help your dog manage OA. These may include:

Chondroprotectant: May help lubricate joints and repair damaged tissue.

Exercise: Keeps your dog’s joints limber and muscles strong, and is critical for successful weight control.

Weight control: Helps your dog avoid excessive stress on joints.

Physical rehabilitation: Relieves pain, helps joint mobility and muscle strength, and promotes cartilage, tendon, and ligament health.
